Stressed? Depressed? Or just Over-worked?

Good Morning,
De-stress Your Professional Life
And welcome to First Train - specialists in Leadership Coaching and Development.
When you feel things aren't going quite as they should (and, let's face it, who isn't from time-to-time in this current economic climate), it's usually for one of three reasons:
  1. You're stressed
  2. You're depressed
  3. You're overworked
The second one, depression, is a medical condition affecting a person's cognitive process.  This can only be treated by a registered medical practitioner and specialist treatment needs to be sought.  A good starting point for support in Australia is an organisation called Beyond Blue.
What about those feelings you can control though?  Well, being over-worked is not pleasant, particularly if it lasts over a long period of time with no light at the end of the tunnel.  Though sometimes it is necessary to put in the long hours in order to get a particular task out of the way.
So what's stress then?  Stress is purely and simply the lack of knowledge or not knowing about a particular situation.  As soon as you find out what the answer is, life never seems quite so bad, does it.  It could be a meeting you've been called to but you're not sure what it's about or you haven't heard back about the job interview you had two weeks ago.  Remember, the skills you learn professionally are also great techniques you can use in your personal life too.
All you need to do is take charge.  You need to find out what the answer is.  Because until you do, it's human nature to keep imagining the worst case scenario.
To take charge of your life, your future and become a successful leader, give me a call on 0405 784071 now to find out how.
I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you to a stress free existence.
