Chris of Firsttrain Christopher Brooks started his own Outplacement and Leadership Coaching and Development company in Australia during 2007 after 10 years on the international circuit.

He identified a gap in the Australian market for a company that can act as an internal Learning & Development department for small to medium sized businesses without the organisation shouldering the running costs. First Train focuses on training management skills and coaching business owners, executives and managers to achieve their goals.

Having first become a coach and trainer in 1998, Chris realised that he had found his vocation. The joy he gets is in supporting people to realise their potential and assisting them along that journey to success.

Gaining much of his training and coaching experience with the John Lewis Partnership in the United Kingdom, Chris played a pivotal role in changing the educational mindset of the branch from a training environment to a learning culture.

He was responsible for the personal and professional development of various groups of managers and trainees. He supervised outdoor activity based training weeks and also ran in-house management development programmes.

Moving to Sydney in 2004, Christopher embarked on a post-graduate diploma in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, graduating in 2007.

First Train provides training courses and business coaching for many Sydney based businesses, including Google, Chippendale Printing and Smart Salary.
